The most frequently asked EMDR Supervision questions – Part 3 Before COVID 19 I was writing a 5 part blog series looking at the questions that were asked the most in EMDR supervision. For the past 6 weeks, I have talked in my blog about the challenges and the gains in moving all our work online. Over the last week or so I have noticed as we adjust to the current situation and it becomes Read more…
Initially when I started doing EMDR online therapy it seemed much more tiring than face to face work. Obviously we are dealing with the pandemic and we’ve got the other stresses of lockdown which might be making us more tired as therapists so that has got to be factored in. There’s also been a blurring between home and work and we’re not used to being in these four walls of our home to conduct every Read more…

One of the best webinars I attended was provided by the EMDR Association by Naomi Fisher. If you haven’t seen it, email me and I’ll send you a link (Hannah@drhannahbryan.com) One of the first things Naomi said was to prepare for things to go wrong, this was such helpful words of wisdom and it’s so helpful to think that way. I’ve really struggled this week to think about what I wanted to write about in this blog. As we are still in lockdown in the UK and still working online it just does not feel right to go back to my blog post series of the most frequently asked supervision questions. I’m sure it will start to feel like this is now the new normal and we need to carry on regardless but not quite Read more…
We are moving into week 4 of the coronavirus hitting us in the UK and week 3 of the lockdown. I wonder what this week will bring. Things seem to change day by day! Who would have thought 6 months ago that our world would be almost completely online? I know I have said it before but I have found the transition to working online easier than I thought. Of course, I have had a Read more…
For most of us we are still continuing to make adjustments as we deal with COVID-19. For me all of my work has moved to online, I’ve stopped going into my office. In my household, my husband is working from home, my children are no longer going to school but attempting to use google classrooms to continue with their education, my nephew is not attending university (and seemingly not doing much online stuff either well Read more…
Again I find myself pausing my planned blog series. I will get back to it at some point I promise but with COVID19 overtaking everything at the moment, it is impossible to even go an hour without thinking about the virus. I have had a funny old week, initially the week started with me thinking how to move face to face clients to online work. At the moment most people are in shock and finding Read more…
